In 2024, Chef Lewis Leiterman introduced Contessa to the heart of Pottstown—a new venture rooted in his passion for scratch-made pasta, seasonal ingredients, and the joy of bringing people together around the table.
Lewis’ culinary journey began at just 14, when he worked as a dishwasher to support his family. Since then, he’s carved out an impressive path—from winning on Guy’s Grocery Games to serving as Director of Food & Beverage at Kalahari Resorts. In 2021, he brought his bold, community-focused vision to life with the launch of Rivertown Taps in Phoenixville.
Now, Contessa is the next chapter: a refined yet welcoming restaurant and bar serving hand-crafted pastas, rotating small plates, and creative cocktails in a space made for gathering. It’s a love letter to flavor, to family, and to the people of Pottstown.
